Pam thank you so much. Since I read your Special Report and
subscribed to Your Newsletter I have learned so much about how to set
up and maintain my corporation and to develop the business and tax strategies that
work best for my situation.
In early 2006, in preparation for
retirement, I incorporated as a
“C” corporation so that I could run a part-time business after
retirement. I chose the “C” corporation because I wanted my business to
be a completely separate entity. However when I retired later that year I received a
fairly large lump sum separation payment that I had to fully recognize in that year.
When I
talked with my CPA he advised me, and I agreed, that at that
particular time it would be best for me to use my window of
opportunity to convert to an "S” Corporation so that I could
apply my considerable loss from my
start-up business against my personal income; thereby
saving me a great deal in taxes for that year.
Without having learned as much as I had from you I
wouldn’t have known what he was talking
about or even that I should have asked.
